Jennifer Asen is a highly experienced and knowledgeable texture specialist & coach with over 25 years of experience in the hair industry. As the owner of Jennifer Naturals salon, she has built a reputation as an authority on textured hair, offering a range of services from shaping afros to coloring locs, crochet braids or perfecting the 2-week blowout.
Jennifer is also a problem solver, and her passion for finding practical solutions has led her to create organic hair oils to protect textured hair in cold climates. Additionally, she has developed the 6 Pillars of Happy Textured Hair, an easy-to-follow hair care guide for consumers and professionals.
As an educator, Jennifer has worked with various institutions, including Sir George Ross Secondary School, Fanshawe College, and TVDSB, sharing her knowledge and expertise on textured hair. Her training courses focus on real-world experiences, creating a safe space for students to share practical solutions that support textured clients while improving their bottom line.
Overall, Jennifer's goal is to give her students the confidence to work with textured hair and create a lasting knowledge base to conquer future issues. Everything you wanted to know about textured hair but were afraid to ask! Real experience-based knowledge from behind the chair. Learn the various types & how to identify them. This course will give you an overview of the services and products that support different texture types.

Wavy hair wants more texture, curly hair more volume, coils want less frizz, and kinky hair wants more moisture.
Learn how to introduce shorter internal layers that add volume. Learn how to smooth cuticles to hold moisture. Textured hair is easy when you have a plan.
